California, the largest state in the US and 10th largest economy in the world has mandated by 2030 all new cars be classified as Ultra Low Emission Vehicles (ULEV), essentially mandating that all new cars be EV’s.

In addition to the local regulatory climate, the world geopolitical climate is pushing governments and consumers to ween themselves off fossil fuels and transition towards cleaner, more sustainable EV’s. Many countries that produce petroleum and fossil fuels have questionable human rights track records. EVs are becoming more than a statement on sustainability, they are becoming a fashionable symbol of resistance towards these regimes that are propped up by their fossil fuel sales.
